Native

Lorne Michaels called again and asked if I wanted to write an SNL-style short for Native deodorant. The idea was that the post-pandemic 2021 holidays would be sweat-inducing. Native was there to get you through the holiday season.

I pitched a short about co-workers getting together for their first holiday office party back. More specifically, for White Elephant, which we called Native or Nice Gift Swap. In classic SNL style, the gifts get wackier and wackier until finally, we land on a gift that should be offensive but is actually the gift of the season: deodorant.

What really sold the idea? I pitched that one of the gifts was a ripped Sexy Abraham Lincoln. Sexy Abe got cut right before the shoot, but a Sexy Elf was replaced. Enjoy!
